About this design

At every cookout, someone hovers by the grill offering tips, and someone else would like them to step back. This design is for the person holding the tongs, and it makes the chain of command clear.

A red kettle grill on three legs holds a seared steak and two sausages on its grate while smoke rises above. Underneath, a tilted gold rubber-stamp box with a distressed finish reads “AUTHORIZED” in small capitals and “GRILL PERSONNEL” in bold slab letters, with “EVERYONE ELSE, STAND BACK” in small cream capitals below.

Stick it on the grill lid, the side shelf or the cooler, where everyone will see it.

Who it's for

It's made for dads, husbands and grandpas who take grilling seriously, and for whoever runs the smoker at the family reunion. Give it for Father's Day, a birthday, or for Christmas with a new set of tongs.
