Is that a cat paw on the design?

Yes, an orange tabby paw with pink toe beans, reaching in to bat the ornament.

Is it a good gift for someone with a new kitten?

Very much so. A first Christmas with a kitten is exactly when this joke lands hardest.

Can the sticker go on a water bottle or cooler?

Yes. It's a durable vinyl sticker that holds up to everyday handling and the occasional splash. Hand wash anything it's stuck to; dishwashers wear stickers down.

About this design

Anyone with a cat knows how the Christmas tree goes: you decorate, the cat studies it, and by morning the low branches are bare. This design is the house rule, written down.

A red Christmas ornament with a gold zigzag band and white dots hangs from a string while an orange tabby paw with pink toe beans reaches in from the right to swat it. Beneath it, a tilted red rubber-stamp box reads “SHATTERPROOF” and “ORNAMENTS ONLY” in distressed letters, and “WE HAVE A CAT” sits under the stamp in black capitals.

Put the sticker on the ornament storage bin as a reminder of what goes on the bottom branches.

Who it's for

It's made for cat moms and cat dads, new kitten owners facing their first Christmas, and the family whose tree goes up behind a baby gate. A cat-loving coworker or Secret Santa match will get it instantly.
